Waikato growers welcome KVH team

The KVH Board recently completed a series of insightful visits in the Waikato region, engaging directly with growers and industry partners to strengthen biosecurity awareness and collaboration.

The team visited Whitehall Fruitpackers, Richard and Matt Glenn, Karn and Briar Dhaliwal, and Hill Labs, gaining valuable perspectives from a diverse cross-section of the kiwifruit industry.

These field visits provided an opportunity for the Board to reflect on current engagement strategies and identify areas for improvement. A key takeaway was the strong representation from growers with varied backgrounds and interests, which highlighted potential areas for enhancing awareness across the region.

The visit to Hill Labs stood out as a highlight, featuring a well-received tour and engaging discussions that reinforced the importance of science and diagnostics in biosecurity preparedness.

These visits reaffirm KVH’s commitment to working closely with growers and stakeholders to protect the industry from biosecurity threats. Thank you to all who took part in the visit and gave the Board their time.
