We were thrilled when we heard the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) awareness campaign was recognised at the New Zealand Emergency Media and Public Affairs awards last week.

The campaign, which was a tied first-place winner in the ‘Readiness and Resilience Category’, is a joint effort between Biosecurity New Zealand and industry groups who make up the BMSB Council under the Government Industry Agreement (GIA) partnership and aims to raise awareness amongst growers and the wider public about the importance of keeping this unwanted pest out of the country, how to identify it, and how to report any suspected finds.
