Biosecurity module for a third year at Gisborne Young Grower competition

This year road closures ruled out KVH presence at the Gisborne Young Fruit Growers competition last week, but thanks to industry networks the module was kept alive.

Fruitfed staff managed the biosecurity and pest and disease competition modules on our behalf, testing up-and-coming leaders on their knowledge of national and sector biosecurity processes, our “most unwanted” and the practicalities of biosecurity on their own properties.

Winner of the section was Pip Terekia, trainee orchard manager at Apata, who then went on to become Gisborne regional winner.

KVH would like to thank the organisers for support in this event.
