Build your biosecurity plan at our Te Puke workshop

25 November 2021

Please join us at The Orchard Church in Te Puke for our biosecurity plan workshop (next Thursday 2 December) by RSVP here.

Over the last fortnight we’ve been in growing regions running our free workshops on on-orchard biosecurity planning and implementation of the proposed new Pathway Plan. Thank you to everyone who came along – it was great to able to help you put your plans together on the day and to get such good feedback on the usefulness of the event.

The Te Puke workshop will run from 9.30am to midday, with refreshments. You’ll be able to address your on-orchard biosecurity programme so that you can walk away with a developed plan that suits your property and manages your biosecurity risk.

Biosecurity experts from the kiwifruit industry will talk you through the benefits of having an on-orchard biosecurity plan and identify key practices to help you enhance biosecurity measures on the orchard as well as manage the threat of unwanted pests and diseases. Having such a plan is a Zespri GAP requirement. Attending the workshop will help with that achievement.

The workshop is open to all growers. Orchard management teams and people responsible for more than one orchard or property are encouraged to attend the workshop together.

Any post-harvest that would like to take part in a workshop with their growers and co-host alongside KVH, please get in touch.
