Chilean visitors biosecurity experience

Earlier this week we had the pleasure of hosting a small group of Chilean visitors from commercial and marketing kiwifruit industry backgrounds.

The group – who were with us as part of an extensive Zespri-organised tour - got to see one of our wild kiwifruit management contractors in action on-site; industry Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) surveillance traps and sample inspection methods; and an orchard that has factored netting into long-term planning for many benefits, including with future proofing against BMSB in mind.
