New Zealand, and the rest of the world, continue to face increasing biosecurity threats to our plant systems and native environment and international experts have called for greater global coordination of biosecurity research to strengthen plant health.

New Zealand’s Better Border Biosecurity (B3) recently joined with Euphresco and Australia’s Plant Biosecurity Research Initiative at international hui to better co-co-ordinate these global efforts.

B3 is a national research collaboration combining the biosecurity expertise of Crown Research Institutes, universities, industry and government agencies. Read about these hui and a Nature Plants article on science diplomacy.
