Seen something unusual? MAKE A REPORT
KVH has been out-and-about in the community recently helping enthusiastic young ‘bad bug’ hunters.
There are several sentinel gardens across primary schools in Papamoa and Mount Maunganui - thanks to Tauranga Moana Biosecurity Capital (TMBC) - that contain host plants that might provide early warning of invasive insects or pathogens.
We’ve taken the opportunity to support the gardens being introduced before they are operated over the longer term by the schools/TMBC themselves, as it provides an opportunity to promote the importance of biosecurity to a younger audience who might just be the first to spot something unusual that could impact our kiwifruit growing community.

KVH investigates reports of unusual symptoms to identify and manage any biosecurity risks.
