Seen something unusual? MAKE A REPORT
Since the last Bulletin a lot has changed for us all - as growers, teams, businesses, and a nation. The Covid-19 situation is unprecedented and evolving by the day. We’re sure that each of you have been focused on making the best possible decisions for your families, staff and businesses that ensure you all stay safe and align with our nationwide goal of slowing the spread.
As a food producer, the kiwifruit industry is considered an essential service under alert level 4 - as is biosecurity. This means that all parts of the industry, including KVH, continue to operate, albeit under enhanced conditions that include strict registration and hygiene protocols.
KVH staff are all working remotely and are available to provide assistance and advice – everyone’s contact details can be found here on our website (easily accessible from the home page anytime).
You can also be assured that as it is classed as an essential service, biosecurity activity continues at the border and post-border. This means things like ongoing surveillance programmes, testing and trapping activities continue (with appropriate measures in place to protect people) as do our regular conversations with Biosecurity New Zealand.
The team are in close contact with Government, Zespri and NZKGI ensuring we do all we can to ensure our people and industry are well supported.
KVH investigates reports of unusual symptoms to identify and manage any biosecurity risks.
The KVH portal is now the Zespri Weather & Disease Portal. Access all the weather tools you're familiar with.
