Seen something unusual? MAKE A REPORT
You’re invited to join an online event on preparedness for the potential arrival of Spotted Lanternfly (SLF) in New Zealand.
SLF is a serious invasive pest, feeding on over 80 different plant species including kiwifruit and is one of our most unwanted threats.
Originally planned as a series of in-person workshops hosted by Plant & Food Research (but affected by COVID-19 alert level changes and associated restrictions), this one-off virtual event will be based around a discussion on SLF impacts and management. Julie Urban from Pennsylvania State University will join in to share what they have learnt in the USA and how we could stop this pest from establishing if it happened to arrive in New Zealand.
If you’re unable to attend and don’t want to miss out there will be a recording available later on. Also, KVH attended the first of the in-person workshops held in Te Puke and you can read about what we learnt here.
Where: Online here via Microsoft Teams (all events are dependent on COVID-19 Alert Levels and will be adapted or postponed if required)
When: Wednesday 29 September, 9.00am
KVH investigates reports of unusual symptoms to identify and manage any biosecurity risks.
