Managing BMSB risk

A new KVH Risk Update on the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) is available online. The update outlines how BMSB risk is being mitigated at the border through readiness activities and awareness campaigns, and incorporates data made available by the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI).

Since the start of the high-risk season earlier last month (1 September) there have been no BMSB interceptions. However, during last season there were more than 2200 BMSB interceptions, demonstrating how real the risk is and how important it is to remain vigilant and keep watch.

The KVH Risk Update will be produced monthly during the high-risk season.
