Eastbay Horticulture Ltd in Whakatane has met the requirements to sell KPCS “fully certified” plants to growers between regions in accordance with movement controls.

With these new additions to the scheme, a total of 19 nurseries throughout kiwifruit growing regions have met requirements to sell KPCS fully certified plants, and 18 nurseries have met the requirements to sell KPCS within region certified plants. Four more nurseries are in progress for certification this year.

Growers are reminded that KVH movement controls must be observed when ordering kiwifruit plants from nurseries and only KPCS certified plants should be obtained. Visit the KVH website for a list of nurseries and their KPCS status, and to find out more about requirements of the KPCS.
