Opotiki weather station

KVH is working with Scott Instruments Ltd to reinstate the Opotiki weather station which is part of the network delivering important weather and disease risk information for kiwifruit growers.

Data was interrupted Tuesday 20 July due to theft of the station solar panel and data monitoring equipment, as well as damage to station sensors.

Weather forecasts and Psa risk predictions are still accurate and available to growers, however there will be a gap in chill unit data and historical Psa risk data up until we get the station operational again.

The station will be re-sited and we expect to have it back on line by the end of next week. We apologise for any inconvenience.
