Opotiki weather station update

The Opotiki weather station, which is part of the network delivering weather and disease risk information for growers, is up and running again.

Due to theft of station monitoring equipment the station’s data was interrupted between Tuesday 21 July and Monday 20 September. Weather forecasts and Psa risk predictions remained accurate through this period, but there is a short gap in historical Psa risk and chill data.

The station position allows good continuity of regional data, and KVH would like to thank the grower for hosting it. Thanks also to Scott Instruments Ltd for their work in the reinstatement.
