Plant Pass Governance Group update

After two years as Chair of the Plant Pass Governance Group, KVH’s Matt Dyck is handing over to new Independent Chair Dave Harrison.

KVH has been a supporter of Plant Pass since its inception in 2021 and continues to support the scheme to reduce the biosecurity risk associated with plant movements.

The kiwifruit industry has a Pathway Plan that sets out specific biosecurity requirements for the movement of plant material within our internal industry pathways and an industry Kiwifruit Plant Certification Scheme (KPCS) as a means to meet these requirements. KVH supports Plant Pass to provide kiwifruit nurseries with an alternative but equivalent certification option to meet the Pathway Plan requirements, and to reduce the risk associated with plant material movements outside of our industry pathways.

The Governance Group warmly acknowledged Matt’s leadership, dedication and commitment to New Zealand's plant producers and biosecurity. He remains on the Governance Group as KVH’s representative.
