Psa status

11 May 2023

Understanding the footprint of Psa across the kiwifruit industry is an important role of KVH and growers are reminded of the requirement to update KVH should the Psa status of their KPIN change from undetected to Psa positive.

This allows a refresh of industry statistics and helps inform KVH decisions on the supply of plants and budwood to new developments as well as existing blocks.

If Psa-like symptoms are observed on a previously undetected block, growers can contact their post-harvest technical team who can provide a visual confirmation to KVH or assist with a sample as needed to test for Psa.

Those unsure of their current KPIN status can contact [email protected].
