South Island workshop: Beating Psa and other threats

Growers in the top of the South will have received an email to attend a special workshop in early July, focused on building business and regional readiness against Psa and other unwanted pests and diseases.

We will be discussing how the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), industry and grower roles combine to manage risk and the roles of each group if a new biosecurity threat was detected in the region. KVH will also describe the readiness plan in place if Psa were to be detected in the South Island.

Bring your “what if” questions with you as we want to make this an interactive session, covering off all your hot topics.

We’ll also have along Richard Clarkson, who will add his view on the value of thinking ahead, being prepared, and how to protect your business from the lens of a horticulturalist and now a local MPI primary industry adviser.

Where: Motueka Top 10 Holiday Park, 10 Fearon Street Motueka
When: Thursday 6 July 2023, 10.00am – 3.00pm
Who: Growers, orchard managers, pack-house personnel and industry support people welcome
RSVP: info@kvh.org.nz (please include any dietary requirements for catering purposes)
