Seen something unusual? MAKE A REPORT
KVH extends a warm thank you to Farmlands for the opportunity to take part in the recent Central Otago horticulture and viticulture symposiums.
We met with over 150 growers from Alexandra, Cromwell and surrounding areas to hear about the latest in nutrition, crop protection, and irrigation; and the shared vision of the future of rural energy. The ongoing drive toward smarter tools and innovation was clear, as was the commitment to research that continues to drive this productive and beautiful region forward.
KVH shared cross-sector insights from the kiwifruit industry’s response to Psa, highlighting the resilience and innovation needed to protect production and maintain grower success. We also discussed current biosecurity priorities, including the wise use of spray tools, and encouraged growers to adopt on-orchard biosecurity plans – just as kiwifruit growers have done. These plans not only protect crops but help raise awareness across the entire supply chain.
We look forward to continuing this conversation and supporting the growth and protection of New Zealand’s horticultural regions through good biosecurity awareness.
